Welcome to Maison Agora!

Situated in an ideal location in the heart of the Dordogne, Maison Agora gives the real French feeling.

This beautiful authentic sandstone country house, full of character, can be found in a picturesque village, idyllically situated on a hill overlooking the wooded countryside of the Dordogne.

You are close to the many tourist attractions and sights of the Dordogne – with Sarlat and the Dordogne river close by – yet enjoy complete privacy and a wonderfully serene atmosphere.

Together with the nearby 12th century church, this former rectory from 1860 has a particularly atmospheric, romantic setting.

Maison Agora is a lovingly restored holiday home for up to 12 people, which combines authentic characteristic features with luxurious, modern and high-quality comfort.

This special place offers a 12 x 5 m private swimming pool and a sun terrace with various sun loungers and parasols, no less than 4,000 m2 of enclosed garden to play or read a book undisturbed, various outdoor seating areas where you can enjoy a delicious meal together and lounge, whilst enjoying the beautiful panoramic view over the rolling hills of the Dordogne valley.


The surrounding Dordogne Valley has an amazing variety of activities and places to visit.

We also have a range of additional services available to our guests, including a private chef experience for an unforgettable dinner at home, rental bicycles available at Maison Agora and the local baker who brings artisanal fresh bread and croissants every morning!

Imagine returning from a day exploring some of France's most exquisite gardens, historical castles and villages, prehistoric sites, natural wonders, or from a day of cycling, walking or canoeing on the Dordogne river whilst enjoying the peacefulness of nature and French countryside at its best.

You'll jump into the pool to cool off and lounge, and as the sun goes down, swap stories about the day's adventures over drinks and dinner on the terrace and gaze at stars at night like nowhere else.
